Collaborations.

I have been lucky enough to have worked with some amazing brands over the past 6 years and have had some incredible opportunities to showcase my artwork in some of the biggest athletic events in the world; including the Tour de France, Ironman world Championships, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta España and many more.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in collaborating on a special project with me.

Shimano approached me before the Tour de France 2022 to create a special pair of custom painted shoes for Wout Van Aert based off the jersey design for the Jumbo Visma team during the '22 Tour de France. The "Masterpiece" jersey was designed by AGU and was created using artificial intelligence and designers who incorporated the inspiration from individual works and styles of the Dutch masters. Including pieces from Rembrandt, Vermeer and Van Gogh.

For the shoe design, the outside included a combination of Van Goghs Wheatfield with Mower and Sun, and the Walled field with peasant. Towards the back of the outside it has colours from Wheatfields with Mountains, and then going from the back heel to the inside of the shoes I used the colours from Rembrandt painting Jewish Bride

On the inside I used the background teals and turquoise from Melkmeisje Vemeer. The colours seen are from the sleeves in Rembrandts painting jewish bride, this transitions in to yellows from the clothing of the Milkmaid Vermeer with detailed flowers from the head piece in the Rembrandt painting Saskia as Flora. Along the strap the yellow transitions to the greens and turquoises in the sleeves of Vermeers Milkmaid painting, then on the tip back around to purples found in Van Goghs artwork

I created these shoes before the Tour de France 2022 for Tadej Pogačar. He wanted to create a special pair of shoes with myself and DMT to announce the Tadej Pogačar Cancer Research Foundation. He first wore these special shoes on Stage 7 (La Super Planche des Belles Filles) of the Tour de France, and won the stage. The lavender ribbon on the inside and outside of the shoes represents cancer as a whole. Tadej also auctioned off these shoes after winning the stage in them, and also wearing the yellow jersey for the TDF whilst doing so.

The Foundation is dedicated to funding and promoting research to treat and cure cancer in the future. Specifically, the Foundation will focus on raising funds for cancer research in the fields of cancer metabolism and exercise oncology. New and promising research is revealing the beneficial effects of physical activity on the prevention, treatment and prognosis of cancer. A better understanding of the benefits of exercise and cancer metabolism requires urgent research and funding.

I created these shoes in collaboration with Shimano in 2019 for Michael Matthews at the end of the Tour de France. These were painted to depict old French letters, with details about the route of the 2019 Tour de France written in the script of the letters, and hand painted French buildings including the Eiffel Tower and Champs Élysées.

When the team at Rapha approached me to design and hand paint a pair of shoes specifically for the Rapha Womens 100 ride I really wanted to create something special. These shoes are based on the kit designed for the 2018 Womens 100.

I was truly honoured and felt privileged to collaborate on this amazing project with CHAPTER2 and be a part of their Artist Collection Edition. It has been a dream of mine to be able to design a limited edition cycling frame, and for it to come to reality with CHAPTER2 was incredible.

In the collaboration I paid tribute to both my own and Chapter 2's roots, using the symbol of the native silver fern. I sourced real ferns in the Abel Tasman National Park, photographed them, hand drew them onto a computer programme and applied them to a 3-dimensional collage on the frame set.Only 50 were made available worldwide with each frame set coming with a personalised signed certificate of authentication , and gold detailed matching thru-axles, top cap and carbon bottle cages. These limited edition frame sets were sold-out within 8 days of being online.

A deep rooted love for New Zealand connected myself and CHAPTER2 at the core, and I hope this shared love is shown through this frame

I collaborated with Magazines CultureVelo in 2020 to create 5 special pairs of Shimano road cycling shoes. Each pair is based off of one of the 5 one-day cycling monuments. These monuments are Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, and the Tour of Lombardy.
